When I have stayed in the area I enjoy hearing the train traveling down the Feather River canyon as it blows it's horn, very fun to hear that.
Having played Grizzly Ranch Golf Club in the past ther is a unique quiet as you play, not sure if it is the higher altitude or the insulation of the beautiful trees but is is a reall cool atmosphere to play golf in.
